STEP #1 Admission Application for admission can also be done using the KCTCS online application service. A fee of $5.00 is charged to use this service and is payable using a credit card, debit card or checking account. All information submitted through the online application service is secure. Online Application Service Upon acceptance to HCC, use the New Student Checklist as a guide for the tasks to be completed prior to starting classes. Prospective students who are active duty Army and who wish to receive upfront Tuition Assistance must complete the admissions process for Hopkinsville Community College through the GoArmyEd web portal. Requests for admission to HCC using any procedure other than the GoArmyEd portal cannot be processed. STEP #2 Assessment All full-time, first-time degree, diploma, and certificate students OR students enrolling in English or mathematics must complete the COMPASS placement assessment unless exempted by ACT sub-scores of 20 in math, 18 in English, 18 in reading, or prior appropriate college course work. COMPASS assessments are administrated by appointment only. STEP #3 Registration Registration forms are available in the Admissions Office (1st Floor, Administration Building), from advisors, or online. First-time students should have proof of ACT or COMPASS scores. Using the Class Schedule, completely fill in the registration form. An advisor’s signature is necessary for registration into more than one class. Once entered, students receive an official schedule and billing statement. STEP #4 Payment Tuition may be paid by cash, check, credit card, mail, payment plan, or third party payment. Tuition payments may be made in person by visiting the Business Office cashier, located on the first floor of the Administration Building. To pay tutition by phone, call (270) 707-3724; to pay by mail, send checks to Attn: Business Office, Hopkinsville Community College, P.O. Box 2100, Hopkinsville, KY 42241-2100. Tuition payments via credit card or e-checks can also be made through Student Self-Service site.
