Joe started HCC at age 15 enrolling in dual credit courses while still in high school. He took courses at HCC for several years to get a solid foundation before transferring to University of Louisville to study Justice Administration.

HCC's Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society members participated in the Kentucky regional PTK convention held at Ashland Community and Technical College on March 8 and 9. HCC’s chapter was presented with ten awards at the meeting.

HCC was recently approved by the KCTCS Board of Regents to implement two new degree programs, Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Health Science Technology and Associate in Applied Science in Medical Information Technology, starting in the fall term of 2012.
