President's Welcome

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Hopkinsville Community College, thank you for stopping by our website. For 48 years, we have been your partner in higher education in the Pennyrile, and our commitment to you is stronger than ever, as we seek to provide a pathway for you to pursue your educational and career goals. It is our hope that you will decide that “Community” is where you begin that journey.

From the Hopkinsville Rotary Scholars Program, which provides post-secondary educational opportunity to every qualified graduate of any Christian County high school, to our wide range of programs of study, our goal is to meet your needs where you are.

  • Maybe you would like to start with on-line classes and e-learning opportunities, just to test the waters? The demands of work and life are such that this option works completely on your schedule may be a great place to begin.
  • If you are mid-career, and want to upgrade your skills, we offer classes that can prepare you for the next level or a new career.
  • High school students can get a head start on college credits through our dual credit programs.
  • Perhaps you did not complete high school, and want to obtain your GED on the path to coming to college. We can help you. We offer developmental programs in reading, writing and math and English as a second language to help those that need to brush up on fundamentals.
  • You can get your start on a college career by coming to “Community”, and completing the first two years before transfer to a four-year program; you can earn your associate degree in a professional or technical program, or explore career options.
  • We have many programs for professionals in skills training and professional development through Workforce Solutions.
  • Our Kids in College Can Soar program, offered through Community Education has served over 5000 area students in summer camp programming since its inception in 1991. We offer KICCS in Hopkinsville and Cadiz.

I am pleased to lead Hopkinsville Community College through this time of transition, and assure you that the highly qualified faculty and staff of HCC are dedicated to helping students succeed in accomplishing their goals. Our strong student services and effective advising will navigate you through the registration process. There are a variety of scholarship and financial aid opportunities to provide support.
