The DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST®) is a credit-by-examination testing program provided by Thomson Prometric. The DSST® program offers 37 test titles in a wide range of college-level academic, technical, and business subjects. Non-traditional returning adult students and corporate trainees, in addition to military members, now use DSSTs on a regular basis.
With DSST®, adult learners can earn well-deserved college credits - from respected and fully-accredited colleges and universities - without even taking a course. Adult learners see DSST® exams as a "short cut" to their college degrees, a short-cut that could save them money, and shave months off their degree completion requirements.
Students who earn passing grades on DSST® exams can earn college credits in as many as 37 unique subjects. Disciplines include Business, Humanities, Mathematics, Physical Science, and more. From personal accounting to public speaking, from your health to law enforcement or ethics, there is a DSST® subject exam for just about everyone. And because DSST® exams are only $80 per test, each passing grade saves a student hundreds of dollars, when compared to the cost of taking an equivalent college course in the subject.
