HCC has reciprocity agreements with three Tennessee counties: Montgomery, Stewart and Robertson. Residents of those counties will be charged the resident tuition rate.

All Distance Learning Courses are assessed at the in-state resident tuition rate  per credit hour.

Other Fees 

Professional Liability Insurance: $11.00 Students who enroll in any course requiring patient/client contact must show evidence they have professional liability insurance. Professional liability insurance is assessed on a per term basis.  This charge is non-refundable and is subject to change without notice.

Kentucky Nurse Aid Testing (KNAT): $75.00 Students who enroll in a Hopkinsville NAA100 course will be assessed the testing charge along with the tuition as a requirement for the course. The payment is due at the same time as tuition (see payment deadlines).  This charge is refundable at the same rate as tuition regardless of whether the test is taken.  

NSF Returned Check: $50.00 Students who pay for services rendered by the college who present a check or EFT payment that is returned from the bank to KCTCS or the college will be charged a returned check charge. Payments will be reversed and the student account will be marked as delinquent. Delinquent accounts are subject to referral to the Kentucky Department of Revenue, which will charge additional fees.

Tuition and fees are determined by the Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Regents.

Hopkinsville Community College is a member of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) and makes every effort to include relevant, timely and accurate information in its publications. However, at times, due to system mandated changes, information may differ from what is published. Every attempt will be made to inform students in a timely manner.

Tuition Policies

  • Tuition is charged when you register for classes and becomes your financial obligation to the college.
  • Students who do not meet the payment deadline are subject to removal from the class roster and must re-enroll.
  • It is your responsibility to officially drop any courses you do not plan to attend or charges may apply.
  • Students whose financial obligations to KCTCS, or any division or organization of KCTCS, have not been paid in full will not be permitted to register for future credit or non-credit offerings, receive transcripts, transfer credits to another institution, or graduate.
  • Hopkinsville Community College, as part of KCTCS, will pursue collection of all outstanding accounts pursuant to its business procedures.
  • Accounts that remain delinquent will be referred to the Kentucky Department of Revenue for collection and are subject to additional fees and costs.
