This program prepares students for an exciting career in the Cosmetology profession. A state wide KCTCS curriculum provides students with the knowledge needed in all areas of theory, hair, nails, and skin care.

After successful completion of the prescribed 1,800 hours of instruction students will be eligible to take the examination for the apprentice cosmetologist licensure. Following the six-month long apprenticeship program graduates are eligible to take the examination administered by the Kentucky Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetology to become licensed cosmetologists. It is mandatory that applicants to the program must attend one informational Pre-Conference. Pre-Conferences will take place at the Cosmetology Center.
